Twitter for Business: In the End, Only One Thing Really Matters

This is going to wrap up our conversation about Twitter.  If you missed any of the other posts you can find them all right here:   Twitter for Business

Let’s recap what we have covered so far:

• First and foremost, being on Twitter WILL benefit your business
• Take the time to setup your Twitter profile and connect with the Twitter community
• If you never do anything else, make sure that you provide valuable content when posting on Twitter
• Let’s try that again, as with anywhere else on the web, valuable content is king on Twitter too!
• Use Twitter as your gateway to other social communities and automate!
• Twitter can be a powerful tool for your business, make sure you find a good Twitter tool for your efforts
• Did I happen to mention providing valuable content???

I think you get the picture.  Remember, the medium (and the tool used to access the medium) are only as good as the people using them and only as valuable as the content provided by the users.  If you are not providing free, valuable content than you probably won’t see any results from your efforts.

When you get down to it, those that provide the most value are the people and organizations that people want to follow.  We all want to learn something new, be engaged and have fun.  Whoever provides all of these to the Web 2.0 communityu is going to win in the end.
