Article Marketing Strategy: Article Marketing Overview

So we are finally on the final two of my Top 5 Traffic Generators.  And since there is such an overlap between the final two, I will be combining article marketing strategy and Web 2.0 network sites into this final set of posts.

Here’s the big problem that I have found with article marketing, everyone does it just a little bit differently.  I swear, I have at least a half a dozen ebooks dedicated to article marketing and each one is very different. Sure, these guys are getting the same results, but how they are getting there is by using different methods.

As if that’s not enough, I am going to layout what I have found to be the best of this information that my sponge like brain has absorbed over time!  The point is, there are a lot of tactics that make up each individuals article marketing strategy.  A lot of the tactics are the same but the details of how they are executed may vary a bit.

So why article marketing and why in the world would anyone want to put so much time into writing ALL of that content?

Article marketing serves two purposes.  One, it provides a lot of links into your target web page and two it can be a great conduit to get a reader from point A to point B.  Point A is usually a search of some nature (whether it is within an article directory, Web 2.0 community or a search engine) and Point B is usually your focus page (whether it is a sales page, squeeze page, content page, etc…).

Anyway, there is so much that can be done with an article marketing strategy that I think it is best that you understand the basics and develop your own strategy from there.

Let’s face it, there are a lot of options for executing the strategy and each person is going to have their own preferences.  Some people will write their own content while others will outsource it.  Some may need back links and not care about quality content while others may want top quality content so that they can get the reader to click a certain link.
